RAGE!

I am saddened when the circumstances of a person's death eclipse the memory of their life in the public consciousness. This piece was originally intended to celebrate the love, and even joy, that was felt before the featured individuals passed away. However, in creating "Live and in Color," I encountered important questions. By compiling these videos, was I implicitly saying that the deaths of these people were the most notable parts of their stories, as death is what connects these individuals? And, are some deaths too politically and emotionally devastating to evoke in this way? What makes one death sadder than another? How sad of a death does it take to forget a person's life?
